ਪਰ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ‘ਚ 4 ਜੂਨ ਦੀ ਘਟਨਾ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਚੰਦਰ ਆਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਦਰਅਸਲ, ਸਾਕਾ ਨੀਲਾ ਤਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਬਰਸੀ ‘ਤੇ 4 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ, ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ, ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਰੇਡ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਝਾਂਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲੂ ਸਟਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਪੁਤਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਅੰਗ ਰੱਖਿਅਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਝਾਂਕੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਧਰਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਦਾ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਚੰਦਰ ਆਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ਼ (ਕੈਨੇਡਾ) ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਖਾਣ ਹੈ। ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਹਰਕਤਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਆਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਗਰੋਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ-
I have often altered Canada to growing anti-India and anti-Hindu hatred and called for visible and concrete action. Anti-India and anti-Hindu groups are vocal, well-organized, well-funded, politically strong, and media savvy in Canada. With their efforts in recent times including attacks on Hindu temples, targeting Hindu community leaders and Hindu organizations, and even mounting a campaign against public display of flags with the Hindu religious sacred symbol Aum, these groups are sending a dreaded message to Hindu Canadians. I again call authorities at all levels of government to take notice and initiate real action before this hatred escalates to real and deadly physical violence. We 830,000 strong Hindu-Canadians are among the top educated ethnic groups in Canada. We keep a low profile and significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of Canada.
